The Convito Baking Tradition

Convito has been baking bread since it opened its doors in 1980. One of the first bakeries on the North Shore, Convito’s bread is all handmade. Our unique specialty breads are perfect for entertaining or for your everyday family meals.

How to Care for Your Fresh-Baked Bread

Serving
Bread can be served at room temperature or warm. To warm, wrap bread in aluminum foil and place it in a preheated 350-400є oven. It will take 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the size of the loaf.

Storage
Bread is best eaten on the day you buy it. If leftover, there are several ways to keep bread as fresh as possible. Keep it at room temperature wrapped in plastic for softer crust, wrapped in paper for crispier crust. If you plan to toast the bread, it will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. In addition, our bread can be frozen for up to two weeks. Wrap the bread in foil, put it in a plastic bag, and place in the freezer.

Yesterday’s Bake - Half Price
Use day-old bread in a variety of ways—toast, croutons, grilled for bruschetta, French toast, bread pudding, bread crumbs, and much more. Many of our breads are still delicious the second, third, and even fourth day if warmed.
Don’t forget that it’s 50% less.

Special Orders

Calling ahead to reserve is recommended because we can’t guarantee we will have all of our breads until closing. We ask for a name, telephone number and credit card number. If the bread you desire is not available on the day that you want it, you may place a special order with a 4 loaf minimum. Convito even ships bread, such as our famous Pepper Cheese, to loyal customers around the country.
